Description of the book: Edition limited to 5200 copies (of which this set is number 1317) on vélin d’arches paper with the watermark of Hemingway’s signature; 8 vols., 4to, original light beige wrappers printed in red and black, glassine jackets, cloth chemises with leather spines decorated in gold, and publisher’s slipcases. Edited by André Sauret, translated by Jean Dutourd, Maurice-Edgar Coindreau, René Daumal, Jeanine Delpech, Henri Robillot, Denise Van Moppés, and Marcel Duhamel. 128 original lithographs by André Masson, Garbell, Carzou, Pelayo, Luc Simon, Guiramand, Commère, and Fontanarosa printed by Mourlot in Paris.
Condition of the book: Each volume is in fine, unread condition (with the original glassine), and the slip cases are all fine. The chemise of a couple of volumes have undergone some professional restoration. Overall a really nice set.
